This is your opportunity to engage in research-based professional development opportunities designed to enhance your professional growth and maximize your effectiveness as you start in your new role with Dallas ISD. The professional development hours gained at The New Teacher Academy can be used to satisfy district and state professional learning requirements. In this session teachers will review their standards, curriculum and materials as well as explore more about the impact teachers can make on our students learning by connecting standards to phenomenon. Additionally, you will be introduces to research based interdisciplinary approaches in which the starting point for inquiry is specific, observable, and related to real-world events.
